The PGLI35 is the best 3.5mm ground loop isolator I have used...highly recommended if you have any kind of buzz on your line when using an "aux in" port. However the five stars I am giving are for the product alone. I came to get an additional, and saw they were charging $80 for this $15 piece and actually did a double take! I had to check to make sure I was looking at the right product. I quickly found it elsewhere at a reasonable price...DO NOT pay more than $20 for any reason.

I have a Mazda 5 with an AUX input and had mediocre sound quality from my iPhone when not connected to a charger. When it was connected to a charger, I got a buzz that ranged from annoying to unbearable. When I came across a post recommending a ground loop isolator for this problem, I purchased this one based on price (at the time it sold for $20). When I hooked it up, my first thought was that the unit was broken because I heard nothing. No static, no pops and no hum, then I pressed play on the iPhone and was shocked at how good it sounded. It does increase wire clutter but it is worth it. I don't get the jump to current $80.00 price tag.

The PGLI35 ground loop isolator performs exactly as advertised. It completely eliminated the hiss and whine generated by the connection of my portable satellite radio. The PGLI is directional: I contacted Peripheral about this, and they stated that the unit will work no matter how it's connected, but works best when the "male" lead is connected to the output of your peripheral unit (in my case, the output of my MyFi XM radio).

It worked in removing static hiss from my Mazda3's built-in auxiliary audio jack. Before, whenever I plugged in something to my cigarette lighter, it ruined any audio. I stuck it in-line between the audio plug and the device (iPod/phone/MP3 player), and voila - all gone. It's such a cheap gadget I don't why they didn't put it in standard. Yes, the green box is a bit ugly looking, but it's only an inch or two square, and I hide it in my armrest storage area.

I bought this to solve the noise problem I was having with my XM2Go receiver when used on my Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic. This took out all the noise including all engine induced noise. It's a great product at a very reasonable price.
