I had my sub installed at Best Buys and the kit worked perfect.

I agree that this is more like 4-6 gauge wire with an abnormally thick jacket. That said, this is still a good kit and all you need for a moderately powered subwoofer. Kit is nice and complete with good (not great) components. I would buy again and it is certainly better than what I could get locally.

This is a quality wiring package that does everything it needs to. Simply providing good, clean sound. It has lasted about 4 months in my car now with no trouble, no grounding static. This package has everything one needs to successfully hook up a complete system.
